Campaign Story
At just 46 years old, Yvonne should be enjoying a full and vibrant life, working, spending time with family, and looking forward to the future. Instead, she is facing one of the toughest battles anyone can imagine: a relentless fight against cancer that keeps coming back despite everything she has already endured.
In 2023, Yvonne was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and in February 2024 she underwent a hysterectomy followed by six grueling rounds of chemotherapy. For a while, we held on to hope that the worst was behind her. But by April 2025, scans revealed the unthinkable, the cancer had returned. She bravely endured three more rounds of chemotherapy, but this time, the treatment failed to stop the disease. Chemotherapy drugs were changed for another three sessions but the outcome didn't change sadly.
As if that wasn't enough heartbreak, Yvonne suffered another devastating loss this year. At the end of June, her mother who is her biggest support system, caregiver, and source of strength, passed away. Suddenly, Yvonne found herself not only battling for her life but also grieving the loss of the person who had been by her side through every hospital visit, every treatment, every sleepless night.
Despite the pain, Yvonne refuses to give up. Her doctors believe there is still a chance through advanced treatments, targeted therapies, and continued care. But these treatments are expensive, and without financial support, Yvonne risks losing access to the very options that could save her life.
Cancer has stolen so much from Yvonne, her health, her peace, and her mother. But it hasn't stolen her spirit. She still dreams of recovery, of being able to work again, of smiling without the shadow of illness hanging over her. Most importantly, she wants to keep fighting, not just for herself, but for the people who love her and believe in her.
This is where we can step in. Together, we can help ease the crushing financial burden that stands between Yvonne and the treatments she desperately needs. Every donation, every share of her story, brings her one step closer to the care that could save her life.
